This week's task was to create a podcast for a specific class.
In order to record our podcast, we downloaded audacity. Audacity is a free open source digital audio editor and recording computer software application.

I chose to create an instructional podcast for form 1 Building Technology.
Description : This is a podcast giving the description of various parts of the tree trunk. Students will be given a diagram and lines below the diagram of the tree trunk. They will have to listen to the five parts being described in the podcast and write the name of the part being described on the lines below. Afterwards, they will have to label the remaining five parts on the diagram the was NOT described in the podcast.

CONCLUSION
Class today was very interesting and fun. I learnt about this wonderful new tool that I can use in my class room in many ways. I am especially excited to use this tool for the benefit of my auditory learners. I intend to use it for instructional purposes, as well as to record creative jingles for my lessons. I am also excited to introduce audacity to my students and allow them to use it and get creative in class, I am positive they will LOVE this. The only challenge I faced was saving my audio as a mp3. I was told that I needed to download lame for audacity to be able to save my recordings as mp3 files. After I downloaded lame for audacity I overcame my challenge :-)
